Review of June 2024
“Whoa, we're half way there….Whoa oh, livin' on a prayer.”
Just over half the fantasy baseball season is in the books. Perhaps your teams are hanging on for dear life. Will you have enough gas to reach your destination? I was reminded of this while watching my kids play an arcade game called The Amazing Road Trip. Basically, you need to spin enough miles to reach a prize level, and you have three spins to reach the set amount of miles. Three spins…three outs. Maybe fantasy baseball isn’t exactly pure chance, but I think there is more than we’d care to admit. In any event, there is no reason to cry over spilled milk of what aleady has happened. Keep driving forward. You might as well spin and try to win.
July will be hot out there. Here go the bats, and pray the pitching doesn’t get too wrecked.

QUOTE OF THE MONTH:
“You do not need to be a pioneer to be genuine. Lean on being authentic to self, embrace what makes you different than others, put the effort in to be the best you that you can be.”

MUSINGS OF THE MONTH:
(Message to me….this section will just keep showing up bud. You can’t avoid it…)
MONTHLY AFFIRMATION:
It can be extremely difficult to tell yourself what you are doing is hard, and to give yourself a sliver of credit for what you’ve accomplished up to this point. The reason for that is we are constantly looking at others. “She can do this, he can do that.” Instead, we should be saying, “I was there, and now I’m here.” Measure yourself against your past self for that is the only comparison that matters. So, nod approvingly at your progress, give a quick smile, and get back to work.
Simple, but not easy.
Thanks for reading.
Take care.
